Title VI and Title VII Employee Training: Completed April 2026
The Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) rolled out university-wide Title VI and Title VII employee training starting in October, 2025, and ran 100 sessions through April 2026. Attendees learned to better identify, address and prevent discrimination and harassment based on protected categories of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, ancestry, shared ancestry, religion and the intersectionality of these categories.
This training was designed to engage participants through interactive dialogue, scenario analysis, mobile-based polling and other engaging activities. This unique initiative supported our commitment to maintaining an inclusive, respectful and intellectually vibrant learning environment and was designed to reach all faculty, staff and affiliates, reflecting our collective understanding of pluralism.
The OEO hired outside trainers from Home Ground Consulting to deliver the training. Survey results indicate strong comprehension outcomes, with 83.0% of participants reporting a definitive improvement in their understanding of Tufts’ Anti-Discrimination Policy. Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported this learning opportunity.
