New! Title VI and Title VII Employee Training:

The Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) will roll out university-wide Title VI and Title VII employee training starting October 1, 2025, through April 2026. Attendees will learn to better identify, address and prevent discrimination and harassment based on protected categories of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, ancestry, shared ancestry, religion and the intersectionality of these categories.

This training is designed to engage participants through interactive dialogue, scenario analysis, mobile-based polling and other engaging activities. This unique initiative supports our commitment to maintaining an inclusive, respectful and intellectually vibrant learning environment and is designed to reach all faculty, staff and affiliates, reflecting our collective understanding of pluralism. Attendees must have both a computer and a cell phone to fully participate.

The OEO has hired outside trainers from Home Ground Consulting to deliver the training and will support registration and track attendance. One session will be offered each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday via Zoom, with 95 sessions scheduled in total. Attendance for each session is capped at 45.
